How to maintain your ball joint for best function

Fredrik Elner

There are a few things to keep in mind to make sure your K80 pull lasts.

1. Make sure the ball is clean and remove any hardened grease and any dirt that has gotten in. Be sure to use the ball cover when you don't have anything connected. The foam is also a good accessory to keep dirt from getting in when you do have it connected.

2. Lubrication is also important and the pull should be lubricated once a day unless there is another solution such as Rockinger's lubrication-free pull where there is a nylon cap instead.

3. Adjustment is the last thing to keep track of and the distance between the lip and the ball glove should be a maximum of 0.5 mm. Keep in mind that if you use different brands of ball gloves, the pull may need to be adjusted between them for best function. If it is not adjusted correctly, there is a risk of abnormal wear.
