Vad är det som gör ett filter bra för din traktor och hjullastare?

What makes a filter good for your tractor and wheel loader?

Gustaf Karlsson

The choice of filter is of great importance for the life of your machine. The filter, whether it is an oil filter, fuel filter, hydraulic filter or air filter, exists to protect your machine's components from impurities that may occur. Impurities can be small particles that come from unclean conditions during refueling, handling of oil filling or from e.g. hydraulic couplings. Agricultural machinery is particularly vulnerable due to the environment in which it is used as well as considering the various external units such as implements and carts that are connected on and off.

More than just filter paper!

A good filter is made with precision. It has a filter media, often a filter paper, which is selected to allow the oil to be cleaned to pass through with sufficient flow, without entrainment of dirt and particles. Often the discussion revolves around how much filter paper is used, but it is more complex than that. Check valves are often found in oil filters that give the engine a guaranteed oil pressure right from the start, the fit and capacity are other aspects.

Are you exposing yourself to the health hazard?

In addition to protecting the vehicle's technical parts, there are filters to protect you as a driver. A cabin filter that has been sitting for too long can be harmful to health as there can be mites and mold that take hold over time. Then the filter has become a health hazard rather than something that cleans your inhaled air. Several of our customers state that they change the cabin filters between each service interval (ie 2 times per year) for this very reason. For special applications such as pesticide spraying, there are activated carbon filters that clean by 'binding' particles in the filter to ensure they don't end up in your lungs.

Kespa only has filters from professionals!

At Kespa, we are meticulous and only use suppliers who are trusted to be OEM suppliers. This means that they supply to tractor factories as well as to vehicles of other types. We choose to sell the filter that the filter manufacturer himself states is equivalent to or better than the original filter from the factory. The filter manufacturer is often the one who advises and also develops the filters that are original, they are based on knowledge, and are the ones we lean towards.
